My Dear, A Mystery For You

Ayano is a dreamer whose life revolves entirely around books. Consumed by her passion for reading, she drifts through her days with little interest in the world beyond the pages she devours. Concerned that her daughter has become too detached from reality, Ayano’s mother takes decisive action to ground her. She sends Ayano to work under Noumi Takayuki, a former author who has since left his writing career behind to operate as a consulting detective. Thrust into this unfamiliar environment, Ayano takes on the role of Takayuki’s assistant, stepping away from her fictional escapes and into the unpredictable rhythm of real-life investigations. As she navigates this new chapter, she begins to confront the question of whether engaging directly with the people and problems around her might finally give her a reason to appreciate the waking world. Yet Takayuki carries burdens of his own. Beneath his professional exterior lies a man wrestling with deep personal grief. As their partnership develops, Ayano’s presence may prove essential not only to his investigative work but also to his emotional recovery. Together, they must determine if an unlikely bond between a lost reader and a haunted detective can help them both find clarity and healing.
