Genshiken

Genshiken is a story about Sasahara Kanji, a college freshman who joins a student society to explore his interests in manga, anime, and gaming. Initially, he is hesitant to admit his love for these hobbies, but as he participates in the society's activities and interacts with its members, he becomes more confident in embracing his otaku identity. With the help of his new friends, including the hardcore otaku Kosaka, his girlfriend Kasuga Saki, and the cosplayer Ohno, Sasahara slowly adjusts to life in the otaku world. Through their experiences, the series explores the challenges and joys of being an otaku, challenging societal norms and stereotypes surrounding this often-maligned group.
