If You Corrupt the Heroine's First Love

"I am a knight of Latem—one whose destiny cannot share the same sky as you." The body she entered upon possessing was that of Karina Apocalita, a member of a heterogenous race vilified as evil throughout the world. Yet in the original story, she was the heroine Paladin Ren's first love—and when Karina nearly saved his life, the novel's plot began to twist. Reneger doubted his faith, and in the end, lost his brilliant white-blonde hair. The holy paladin fell to corruption, and ultimately came to sympathize with Karina's fate. “Now we hold each other's desires," Karina murmured, stroking his cheek. Like seductive thorns, her touch drew him in, one by one. Reneger could not cut himself free. “God, please forgive me."
