Tonari no Kurokawa-san

For Takahashi Hajime, choosing a high school had nothing to do with academics or prestige—Shuubi High School was, above all else, the stage on which his favorite manga unfolds. Enrolling there was a dream come true. With every step through its hallways and grounds, he finds himself walking through scenes he has read countless times, recognizing locations lifted straight from the pages of the story he loves. For him, ordinary school days become something extraordinary. Amid this excitement, Takahashi crosses paths with Yayoi Kurokawa—a beautiful girl who bears a striking resemblance to the heroine of the very series that brought him here. What begins as a simple meeting between a devoted fan and a girl who seems to have walked straight out of his favorite story soon deepens into something more, as the two find themselves bound together by a secret they can share with no one else. Carrying that secret between them, their days at Shuubi High take on an entirely new dimension—one where admiration, curiosity, and an unexpected closeness quietly begin to blossom between a boy who treasures a beloved tale and the girl who looks as though she stepped from its pages.
