Reborn in Chinese Entertainment with the Emperor System

Chen Zhou has been reborn, returning to the year 2013. However, his second chance at life comes with an unexpected twist: the sudden activation of the "Emperor System." The system’s first decree is absurdly grandiose, commanding him to choose an auspicious date to ascend the throne as the sole heir, claiming it is the will of heaven and the desire of the people. Just as Chen Zhou is about to dismiss the system as ridiculous, he discovers a loophole: performing the act of ascending the throne within a film or television role satisfies the mission requirements. Realizing the system’s potential rather than its flaws, he embraces this unique advantage. Subsequent missions continue to blend imperial duties with his acting career. When tasked with diligently reviewing memorials to govern wisely and bring peace to the realm, Chen Zhou interprets this as deeply studying his scripts. When ordered to balance work with rest by enjoying palace music and dance, he simply hires a performance troupe for leisure. However, the directive to establish a harem to continue the imperial lineage plunges him into a complex romantic entanglement, much to his chagrin. Despite the chaotic personal implications, Chen Zhou leverages these quirky mandates to climb the ladder of success. Eventually rising to the pinnacle of the Chinese entertainment industry, he becomes a top-tier star and the boss of many popular young actresses. When asked by reporters about the original intention that drove him from obscurity to fame, Chen Zhou replies with deadpan sincerity, "You might not believe it, but initially, I just wanted to be a wise emperor."
