Wu Xin: The Monster Killer

Wu Xin is no ordinary man—he is an immortal, forever suspended in the prime of youth yet equally bound to an endless death. He has no memory of his origin and no vision of his destination, drifting alone through the boundless currents of time. Across the ages, he has known adventure and tasted love, yet every bond he forms is destined to fray against the unyielding thread of his own eternity. During the Tongzhi era, hoping to escape the cruel passage of years, he retreated into the mountains with the woman he loved, seeking a quiet life beyond the world's reach. But time spares no one—not even those beloved by the ageless. By the Republic of China period, his lover had withered into old age and passed away, leaving him penniless and bereft. With no other recourse, he descended to the county town at the foot of the mountain, disguised in a monk's ragged robes, not out of piety but out of sheer necessity—a wanderer looking for a way to survive in a world that had moved on without him. This is the haunting origin of *Wu Xin: The Monster Killer*—a tale of immortality as curse, of love as loss, and of a man who hunts monsters while wrestling with the greatest monster of all: his own endless existence.
