Official Details

Eighteen-year-old Ryohei Arisu is exhausted by his own life. School offers him nothing, his romantic prospects are dismal, and the future looms like an inescapable disaster. Struggling to carve out a place in a world that seems indifferent to his existence, he clings to the belief that life would be better anywhere else. Then a bizarre fireworks display abruptly transports him and his friends into a parallel reality. At first, Arisu takes it as the answer to his every wish—but this new realm is no empty utopia. It is a merciless game, and the sole path to survival is to keep playing.
