Yagate Efude o Utsuroshi Kimi wa

Airi Aikawa has spent years chasing a dream that often feels more like a relentless grind. As a working manga artist, her days blur together in a haze of deadlines, rough sketches, and the quiet anxiety of an unstable income. She finds a semblance of stability in her routine, but her world is upended when she learns that Hinoki, her former art student and childhood friend, is on the brink of giving up everything. Struggling with financial hardship and the crushing pressure of art university, Hinoki faces the real possibility of abandoning the path they once shared. Desperate to help the young man she has watched grow, Airi impulsively proposes a radical solution: they should live together. What begins as a simple act of kindness quickly becomes more complicated than Airi could have anticipated. Sharing her small living space with Hinoki forces her to revisit old memories and confront feelings she has long suppressed. Yet, the most significant barrier to this new arrangement is not the close quarters or the sudden shift in their dynamic. It is the heavy, carefully guarded secret that Airi has managed to keep hidden from everyone around her. As their lives become increasingly intertwined, the delicate balance she has maintained begins to fray, threatening to expose the truth and unravel the fragile peace she has built for herself.
