Ichijou Hanao wa Koi wo Shiranai

Hanao Ichijou leads a carefully ordered life as a second-year student at a prestigious all-girls high school, where her future has already been neatly charted out for her. Following her parents' wishes, she is expected to marry a suitable partner chosen through formal arranged meetings, a path she has never questioned. Yet despite attending numerous such gatherings, each potential match ends in quiet disappointment, leaving her with a growing sense that something essential is missing from her carefully planned existence. Driven by a nagging unease, Hanao realizes she cannot accept an engagement without first understanding the elusive emotion that seems to drive everyone around her. Clinging to the faded memory of a shoujo manga she cherished in childhood, she devises an unorthodox plan: she will abandon her usual commute and take the train, hoping to stumble into the kind of fateful encounter she has only ever read about. To her astonishment, her wish appears to come true when she meets a boy who embodies every romantic cliché she imagined. Believing him to be both handsome and worldly-wise in matters of the heart, she makes a bold, unconventional request—that he take on the role of her teacher and guide her through the unfamiliar landscape of love, before she surrenders herself to a marriage without affection.
