Wangan Midnight

After suffering a defeat in a high-speed race against a Porsche 911 Turbo nicknamed “Blackbird,” high school student Akio Asakura visits a junkyard to source parts for his vehicle. There, he discovers and purchases a blue first-generation Datsun Fairlady Z (S30). Akio soon learns that the car, known as the “Devil Z,” has been tuned to produce 620 horsepower and carries a dark legacy of fatal accidents involving its previous owners. Complicating matters further, the Z’s last owner shared Akio’s name. Behind the wheel of this cursed machine, Akio enters into a fierce new rivalry with Tatsuya Shima, the driver of the Blackbird.
