The Living Underworld Agent!

Xie Chang’an, the owner of a funeral home, casually comments “I’m in” on an online post and unexpectedly becomes the only conscious, officially enlisted agent of the Underworld. His life splits into two distinct halves: by day, he prepares corpses for burial as a mortician; by night, he escorts wandering souls to their final destination. While navigating this supernatural bureaucracy, Xie discovers a crucial advantage that sets him apart from his peers. Unlike ordinary agents who rely on a single merit system for promotion, he possesses a unique dual-merit progression path and access to a specialized Merit Workshop. As the sole awakened agent with clarity of mind in the netherworld’s workforce, he must leverage these exclusive benefits to rise through the ranks of the afterlife’s corporate hierarchy.
