Mogura no Uta

Reiji Kikukawa is a young police officer with a fiery temper and a stubborn habit of doing things his own way rather than strictly by the book. His unorthodox approach to the job constantly puts him at odds with the force, so when he is finally dismissed, none of his colleagues is the least bit surprised. To the outside world, his career appears to have ended in disgrace. The truth, however, is far more complicated. Reiji's firing is nothing more than a cover story. Behind the scenes, he has been handed a covert assignment: to go deep undercover and work his way into the Sukiya organization, a dangerous yakuza group that has long operated beyond the reach of the law. Assuming a false identity among hardened criminals, Reiji must earn the trust of the gang while carefully concealing who he really is. His objective is clear — to gather enough concrete evidence to secure the arrest of the organization's leader, the formidable Shuho Todoroki. Living a double life in the shadows, Reiji risks everything to bring a powerful crime boss to justice.
