The Record of Fantastical Nomenclature

Iori Midorisawa possesses a sight that no one else shares: the ability to perceive creatures invisible to the rest of the world. There was a time when he poured that strange gift into his art, lending form on paper to beings only he could see. But a single fateful day changed everything, casting a shadow heavy enough to make him abandon his illustrations for good. Since then, he has kept that part of himself firmly buried. His quiet resolve is shaken when Mika, a mysterious author, arrives bearing an unexpected commission. The proposed project is anything but ordinary: it calls on Iori to step back into the hidden world that haunts his past, to serve as a witness to the invisible and a guardian of the unknown. Torn between the memory that silenced his pen and the pull of a purpose that demands his gift, Iori stands at a crossroads. Beside an employer whose motives remain cloaked in mystery, he must come to understand whether his sight is a curse better left dormant—or a calling he can no longer turn away from.
