Cycling Hit

As the captain of Sunyu High’s baseball team, Lim Sung carries the weight of his teammates’ ambitions on his shoulders. Victory isn’t just a goal—it’s an expectation, and he knows that a single exceptional hitter could tip the scales in their favor. That hitter is Nam Heedo, a batter with instincts so sharp they border on supernatural. Yet every recruitment attempt ends in refusal, not because Heedo lacks interest in the game, but because he cannot bear the scent of other people—a visceral aversion that makes team sports feel like a waking nightmare. Then comes the twist that changes everything: Sung’s scent doesn’t repulse him. It is, inexplicably, bearable. Sensing a fragile opening, Sung seizes the opportunity, agreeing to Heedo’s surprisingly simple—yet strangely charged—conditions in exchange for his presence on the diamond. What begins as a practical bargain soon deepens into something far more precarious, a private arrangement that blurs the line between necessity and desire. But baseball is a game of shared dugouts, close huddles, and locker-room intimacy, and secrets have a way of unravelling under the glaring sun of a high school season. As the team rallies toward their goal, Sung and Heedo must navigate not only their growing connection but also the ever-present risk that their special pact will be exposed—and that the truth might cost them everything they’ve built.
