Everything Can Be Bent

Lin Mo, a twenty-three-year-old corporate drone earning a meager monthly salary, finds his life upended at 3 AM. While eating instant noodles during overtime, a simple sneeze inadvertently bends every streetlight on the block. This anomaly attracts two agents in windbreakers who inform him that he has awakened as an Esper and must accompany them. However, his initial assessment is bleak: ranked E-class, the lowest tier, with a pay cut that makes his previous overworked existence seem preferable. His ability, categorized as "Mutant Type: Unclassified," allows him to bend objects—a power dismissively regarded as useless garbage that doesn't even fit into standard classifications. Assigned to the Evaluation Department, the bureau’s most obscure division, Lin Mo spends his days writing reports amidst a toxic workplace culture. His colleagues exploit telekinesis to slack off, while his boss utilizes mind-reading to enforce strict control, all while enduring the petty frustrations of office life. Resigned to a mundane future, Lin Mo believes this is as good as it gets. That changes when he instinctively bends space itself to save everyone from a catastrophic threat. He soon realizes that bending objects was merely the beginning and manipulating space is only the intermediate stage. The true apex of his power lies in bending the very rules of reality—and in this world, those rules are long overdue for distortion.
