Shining Court, Radiant Storm

Dedicated to the youth that has passed yet remains unfinished, this story embodies the spirit that a man is forever a boy at heart. Lin Feng, known online as Ye Qinghui, finds himself granted a second chance at life. Free from past physical limitations and driven by a singular passion, he strives to elevate Dongguo’s basketball scene, one step at a time. His goal is simple: to play the game he loves without interference, revisiting the sweltering summers filled with cicadas, classmates, and the passionate roar of the crowd. The narrative intensifies during the 1999 Provincial University Basketball League quarterfinals between Beichuan University and Xishan University. Trailing 69-76 at halftime, the Beichuan team is shaken when their manager, Li Yunsi, discovers star player Wang Heng in tears. Wang reveals that his father has "sacrificed" himself, referencing the recent tragic collision between American and Dongguo aircraft—a geopolitical incident that has left the nation in mourning. While others fall silent in grief, Lin Feng steps in with unwavering confidence. He reassures Wang Heng, promising that his father is safe and even offering a video call after the game if they secure victory. With this bold promise, Lin Feng lifts the team’s spirits, turning sorrow into determination as they prepare to fight back on the court.
