Zombie Bat

Four months have passed since the dead first rose and the world fell apart, yet Himiko presses on, armed with nothing more than a baseball bat. A high school girl thrust into an apocalypse she never asked for, she spends her days bludgeoning the shambling undead and her nights clinging to a single, elusive hope: finding a safe place where she can finally stop fighting and simply survive. Then, during her search for refuge, Himiko crosses paths with another girl—a survivor carrying a burden unlike any other. Rather than abandoning her mother to the horrors of the outbreak, this girl has chosen to keep her by her side, even after she turned into one of the very creatures the living should flee at all costs. It is an unsettling bond, one that blurs the line between love and danger in a world that no longer makes sense. Confronted with this strange devotion, Himiko must grapple with a question far heavier than any swing of her bat: in a broken apocalyptic world where the old rules have crumbled away, what is truly the right choice to make?
