Roku's House of Oddities

For Seiroku Akari, life is a matter of empirical evidence and logical deduction. As a devoted member of his high school’s science club, he approaches the world with a skeptic’s eye, leaving little room for superstition. That steadfast rationality is put to the ultimate test when he sets his sights on the Moonlit Tales of Kokubunji, a chilling urban legend whispered in the shadows of his town. Determined to dissect myth from reality, Akari vows to uncover the truth lurking beneath the folklore—a decision that plunges him far beyond the reach of scientific explanation. His investigation, however, does not yield simple answers. Instead, Akari finds himself the unwilling vessel for five distinct, malevolent curses, each one a fragment of the very legend he sought to debunk. Now trapped within a body no longer entirely his own, he must navigate a harrowing new existence where the laws of physics bow to supernatural dread. With his very identity eroding and the curses vying for dominance, Akari’s once-orderly world descends into chaos. From the mind of Atsushi Nakamura, the acclaimed creator of Agravity Boys, comes a haunting new tale that blends scientific curiosity with otherworldly horror.
