The Poe Clan

The Poe Clan is a lineage of the undead who sustain themselves by drawing upon the life force of the living. They pass the centuries in a village of roses, a place unbound by time or geography. A brother and sister, Edgar and Marybelle, are brought into the clan under circumstances that leave them forever frozen on the threshold of maturity, their eternal existence destined to continue only until a wooden stake or silver bullet brings it to an end. Through three immortal adolescents and the mortal lives intertwined with theirs, Moto Hagio’s groundbreaking manga delves into the nature of life and death, and the enduring weight of love and loss.
