Hiromi, a freshman in high school, joins the tennis club due to her admiration for the team's senior star and "Madame Butterfly," Ryuuzaki. However, the new coach, Jin Munakata, pushes Hiromi to participate in an upcoming tournament despite her inexperience. Initially considering quitting, Hiromi discovers her true passion for tennis through Munakata's coaching, and her skills begin to flourish. As Hiromi grows closer to her coach, she is unaware of Munakata's secret struggle with a chronic illness.
