Trap Heroine

When my roommate Kohinata Makoto first moved in, I assumed I'd be sharing my space with another guy. That assumption lasted about five seconds. From the delicate slope of his shoulders to the quiet grace of his movements, everything about Makoto reads as effortlessly, undeniably feminine. His limbs are slender, his features soft, and the clothes he chooses to wear—blouses, skirts, and the occasional accessory—are worn with a natural ease that makes him seem wholly at home in them. Yet, he insists he's a boy. The official documents, the housing forms, the simple fact of his assigned gender all say one thing, but every other fiber of his being whispers another. It's not a costume or a performance; it's just Makoto. He moves through our shared apartment with an aura that blurs the lines I thought were so clearly drawn, leaving me in a constant state of quiet bewilderment. Is he really a boy, or is there something more to his identity that the world has simply chosen to overlook? Living with him means navigating a daily puzzle of contradictions. He is a boy who does not fit the mold, an enigma wrapped in fabric that challenges my every preconceived notion. Each shared meal, each casual conversation, becomes another piece of a mystery I can't help but want to solve, even as I grow more uncertain of what the final answer might even look like.
