Summary

Official Details

A spin-off of Akagi, this series chronicles the early exploits of Washizu Iwao, the arch-nemesis of Shigeru Akagi. Set in 1948 during the American occupation of Japan, the story follows the young Washizu as he remains undefeated in high-stakes mahjong games against commissioned American officers. To counter his terrifying intellect and former affiliation with the Special Higher Police, the officers recruit a professional cheat harboring a grudge against that very same police force to serve as their representative player.
