Summary
Official Details
After witnessing a performance by Giovanni Bazonni, young Tetsuou is filled with the burning ambition to become a master cellist. Yet he is keenly aware that his life on a secluded Japanese island offers little hope of ever realizing such a dream. His circumstances change when a boy named Ikumi arrives to stay at his home—the sole survivor of a maritime disaster, having swum to the island to save himself. Ikumi makes an astonishing assertion: he insists that he navigated his way to safety by following the exquisite sound of a cello, and he is certain that the musician was none other than Tetsuou.
