She's too cute to take away

Shion, a demon prince, descends to the human world with one clear goal: to pass the Demon King succession exam. Confident in his abilities, he expects a trial of strength or cunning—only to discover that the passing condition is far more intimate than he ever imagined. To claim the throne, he must "take the heart" of a human, a euphemism that sends the utterly inexperienced virgin prince into a tailspin of panic and dread. His chosen target is Umeko, an unassuming human girl who seems like the perfect candidate for his mission. But Shion quickly learns that nothing about her is ordinary. Umeko is a breathtakingly beautiful airhead, whose obliviousness and erratic behavior leave him completely disoriented. Every attempt at seduction backfires spectacularly, as she misinterprets his clumsy advances with maddening innocence or responds in ways that defy all logic. What follows is a relentless comedy of errors, pitting a flustered, romance-starved demon against a girl whose mind operates on a wavelength all its own. With the exam deadline looming and his dignity crumbling, Shion must find a way to navigate Umeko's baffling world—before his chances at kingship vanish entirely.
