High school student Hasegawa has spent his school years blending into the background—plain, quiet, and easily overlooked by everyone around him. So when Hiyama, the bright and effortlessly popular social butterfly of the class, abruptly confesses romantic feelings to him, it comes as an absolute shock. Overnight, the unremarkable boy finds himself facing a situation he never anticipated: dating a classmate with whom he has never exchanged a single word. Confronted with this bewildering turn of events, the two must figure out how to build a connection from absolute scratch. Their answer is an unexpectedly endearing one—a good old-fashioned diary exchange.
