Having lost everything, a boy rises to become the Wizard of the Wind.

Having lost everything, a boy rises to become the Wizard of the Wind. In a world where spirits and magic coexist, Simon Hays is born with a genius-level talent for magic—yet as the son of a family of warriors, he spends his youth concealing his gift. That life comes to an end when his father, Klein, attempts to kill Simon to satisfy his own greed, and Simon's swordmaster, Rozette, along with her daughter, Diana, lose their lives to Klein's blade. Simon survives only through the sacrifice of his second older brother, Raidin. Abandoning his former name, he takes on the identity of Ranian, living as a mage and mercenary while searching for any trace of Klein. His pursuit, however, draws him into incidents unfolding across the land and brings him ever closer to new truths tied to Klein. He endures by fighting alongside companions who each carry their own stories. Ranian, a man who once lived solely for revenge, is forced to confront the meaning of life, power, and relationships anew through countless battles and choices.
