For Minami-kun, the recruitment poster plastered on the school bulletin board seems like an invitation to paradise. With its cheerful promises of frills, sparkles, and camaraderie, the Magical Girl Club looks like the perfect excuse to surround himself with cosplaying cuties. Driven by far less than noble intentions, he eagerly signs up, already imagining a world of harmless dress-up and adoring fans. What he walks into, however, is anything but a costume party. The moment he steps through the clubroom door, Minami's flippant daydreams shatter against a bewildering reality. This is no otaku hobbyist group staging photo shoots—the transformations are visceral, the magic is dangerously tangible, and the frilly outfits are not worn for show. Caught between his initial shallow expectations and the jarring weight of actual supernatural responsibility, Minami finds himself thrust into a world where "becoming a magical girl" is a literal, irreversible commitment.
