As a teenage prodigy, Kagami Junichirou was the brightest star in Japan's scientific community—a physics wunderkind whose groundbreaking research earned him a coveted publication in *Nature*. Then, without warning, he walked away from it all. Now in his twenties, Kagami has traded laboratories for lethargy, fully embracing the life of a NEET. His days are consumed by obsessive anime blogging, curating his ever-growing collection of niche merchandise, and rigorously adhering to a self-diagnosed condition he calls "the incurable illness of being unable to do anything I don't want to do." To his exasperated younger sister, he is a genius wasting away in a prison of his own apathy. In a last-ditch effort to shock him back to reality, she secures him a teaching position at their old alma mater, forcing him back into the very halls where his academic legend began. Appointed as a physics instructor, Kagami is anything but conventional. He ignores the curriculum, speaks to students with unfiltered bluntness, and treats the classroom like an extension of his otaku lifestyle. Yet, to everyone's surprise, his bizarre methods resonate, and he quickly gains a cult following among the student body. It is only when he encounters a girl suffering from relentless bullying that something dormant finally stirs within him. Stepping in to protect her, Kagami experiences a flicker of genuine purpose he hasn't felt in years. But one act of heroism does not a redemption arc make. As he stands at this precarious crossroads, the former prodigy must confront an impossible question: will he embrace his newfound calling as the school's most eccentric educator, reconcile with the brilliance of his abandoned scientific career, or will the gravitational pull of his comfortable, stagnant lifestyle ultimately drag him back into the abyss of his bedroom?
