Ryuu to Chameleon

Veteran manga artist Garyou Hanagami has spent years dominating the industry, best known as the creator of the colossal hit series Dragon Land. Even after such monumental success, his creative drive remains as strong as ever, and his mind never stops generating fresh concepts for his next great work. Shinobu Miyama's career, by contrast, has barely begun. An amateur working as Hanagami's assistant, he has picked up the nickname "The Chameleon" thanks to his uncanny ability to replicate the art styles of every artist he works under. Yet beneath that versatility lies a quiet frustration—he is just another nameless face in the crowd, and he yearns to step out of the shadows and become someone in his own right. Then a workplace accident leaves the seasoned professional and the aspiring newcomer trapped in each other's bodies. Suddenly, the celebrated mangaka must create through the hands of a novice, while the ambitious nobody commands the skills of a veteran. As the unlikely pair struggles to navigate their swapped lives, an extraordinary partnership begins to form between an artist with everything and a dreamer with everything to prove. The series won the U-NEXT Prize at the 2023 Next Manga Awards.
