Sono Tajima works for a foreign-owned video streaming company in Tokyo. Her routine is disrupted when she hears rumors of a romance between Koharu Shiraishi, a local television personality from Fukuoka, and a member of a popular male idol group. Koharu was a friend from Sono’s student days, though their history is marred by negative memories and Koharu’s reputation for promiscuity. When Sono returns home, she discovers Koharu waiting for her, having fled to Tokyo in search of refuge. As Sono takes in her former friend’s desperate situation, she is surprised to feel a strange, indefinable sense of delight stirring within her.
