Kaoru Uno's ordinary life is upended the day he suddenly begins to see shiryo—mysterious monsters known as death spirits that remain invisible to everyone else. What starts as a frightening and bewildering affliction soon proves to be something far more significant: the first glimpse of a hidden world lying just beyond ordinary perception, one that has chosen him to witness its existence. Everything changes with the arrival of Yoji Amane, a coworker of Kaoru's late father, who comes bearing a special ring the departed man left behind for his son. With this keepsake in hand and Amane as his guide, Kaoru is drawn into the world of necromancers, where the spirits that once haunted him alone become the key to an extraordinary new destiny. From the creator of Aliens Area comes a fantastic new series packed with thrilling necromancer battles—a story of a father's legacy, unseen monsters, and a young protagonist's initiation into the supernatural arts.
