The Wise Ruler Liu Adou

This historical fiction narrative follows Liu Shan, commonly known as Liu Adou, who travels back in time to assume the role of the Shu Han emperor. Determined to reverse the kingdom's decline, he leads a campaign to restore Shu Han to its former glory and achieve national rejuvenation. The story draws inspiration from classical philosophical debates regarding the potential for sage-like rule. Referencing the views of Mencius and Xunzi, who both affirmed that figures akin to the legendary emperors Yao and Shun could indeed emerge, the protagonist takes a decisive approach. When questioned on how to attain such exemplary status, Liu Adou’s answer is straightforward and action-oriented: he simply becomes one. Grounded in historical facts, the novel features meticulously crafted characters and is written with careful attention to detail.
