Manshuu Ahen Squad

The year is 1937, and the vast reaches of Manchuria lie beneath the shadow of war. Stationed in this uneasy occupied territory is a lone Japanese soldier—a man about to discover that the most dangerous battlefield is not one of guns and trenches, but of vice, money, and greed. Drawn into the sprawling underworld of the opium trade, he begins to interfere with its operations, convinced he can hold his own against the criminals and profiteers thriving in Manchuria's lawless corners. But this is no petty black-market racket. The trade is a vast, merciless enterprise woven deep into the fabric of the occupied land, sustained by powerful interests and ruled by men who do not forgive intrusion. Soon, the soldier grasps the full weight of his miscalculation: he has bitten off far more than he can chew. What began as meddling has hardened into a desperate struggle for survival, as the forces behind Manchuria's opium empire begin to close in. In a land where addiction fuels fortunes and human life is treated as expendable, he must somehow weather the storm he has unleashed—or be swallowed by it entirely.
