Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou

When Inaba Yuushi lost his parents during his first year of middle school, he was taken in by relatives who treated him kindly—yet he could never shake the sense that he was simply a burden on their household. Determined to stand on his own, he eagerly anticipated entering a high school with its own dormitory, only for the building to burn to the ground before he could move in. Unwilling to overstay his welcome with his begrudging family and armed with little more than meager savings, the orphaned teenager finds himself facing an unexpectedly difficult search for housing. Just as his options seem to run dry, Yuushi discovers a room in a stately old building offered at a price that seems too good to be true. There is, however, a catch: the residence is a youkai apartment, a place where humans coexist with ghosts, mononoke, and all manner of supernatural creatures. Among its tenants is Akine, a lovely girl his own age who remains utterly unfazed by their otherworldly housemates—and who can even exorcise malevolent spirits. Caught between ordinary schoolwork and extraordinary neighbors, Yuushi is about to experience a high school life far stranger than anything he ever bargained for.
