Toki Doki

Every heart has a finite number of beats. Those afflicted with the rare "Kokuhaku disease" suffer from a weakened heart, resulting in fewer total beats and a significantly shortened lifespan. With specialized technology, one can measure exactly how many heartbeats remain. When Hato Iijima accidentally walks in on Hatsu Takagi changing, he spots such a device attached to her chest. To preserve her remaining beats, Hatsu has resigned herself to a quiet, isolated existence, carefully avoiding any situation that might elevate her heart rate. Yet beneath this restraint lies a deep longing to experience life freely and passionately. Recognizing her true desire, Hato vows to help her make the most of every second she has left, determined to make her heart race with joy.
