Tomouchi Takumi is a high school senior drifting through his final year without direction. His academic record is dismal, and he lacks any meaningful ambitions for the future. The single source of pride in his otherwise aimless life is his self-proclaimed talent for video games, a modest skill set that provides his only real sense of accomplishment. However, even that fragile confidence begins to shatter when he suffers a humiliating losing streak in C.O.D.A.S., a highly popular robot fighting game that dominates the competitive scene among his peers. Just as Takumi hits rock bottom, his downward spiral draws the unexpected attention of Minahara Satsuki, his class representative. Strikingly beautiful and exceptionally intelligent, Satsuki is far removed from Takumi’s world of poor grades and digital defeats. Yet, she approaches him with a purpose, revealing that she possesses a highly particular set of skills that could change everything. Her sudden involvement forces Takumi to confront his failures head-on, setting the stage for an unlikely dynamic between the struggling gamer and the enigmatic class rep who refuses to let him fade into obscurity.
