Gundam: Reconguista in G

The Universal Century, with its long legacy of colonization and conflict, fades into history as time marches forward. Humanity enters a new era of sustained peace and prosperity known as the Regild Century. The year is R.C. 1014. Connecting Earth to space stands the Capital Tower, an orbital elevator that transmits Photon Batteries from the cosmos to supply the planet's energy needs, earning it near-religious veneration. Bellri Zenam, a cadet of the Capital Guard—the force established to protect Capital Tower—is undertaking his first live exercise when he comes under attack by the unaffiliated and formidable mobile suit known as the G-Self. Despite piloting only a Recten maintenance unit, he s쳮ds in capturing the G-Self. Yet the sight of its pilot, a young space pirate named Aida Rayhunton, awakens something in him, just as the G-Self itself—a machine he is certain he has never seen before—seems to respond to his presence. Why does the G-Self choose Bellri as its pilot? What drives Aida's assault on Capital Tower? And what is the destiny awaiting Bellri as the G-Self's chosen operator? The truth that will shake the Regild Century to its core lies ahead. All of this is merely the beginning of the Reconguista.
