The Drops of God

When Shizuku Kanzaki's father, a celebrated wine critic, passes away, he leaves behind one of the strangest wills ever drafted: a set of descriptions outlining twelve wines he regarded as the finest in the world, each one likened to a disciple of Jesus Christ. According to its terms, the first person to identify these twelve "disciples" will inherit his father's prized wine collection—an extraordinary reward that turns a family's grief into a high-stakes contest. For Shizuku, a young man who had never before recognized the allure of wine, his father's death becomes the catalyst for an unexpected awakening. Cast into a competition he is completely unprepared for, he must begin to discover the depth and beauty of a world he had long ignored. Standing in his way is Issey Tomine, Shizuku's adoptive brother and a professional sommelier whose trained expertise makes him a formidable rival. As both men pursue the same elusive bottles, the contest becomes a gripping duel of palates and wits, with their father's legacy hanging in the balance.
