The Drops of God

When world-renowned wine critic Yutaka Kanzaki passes away, he leaves behind an extraordinary collection valued at over twelve billion yen. His final will establishes a formidable challenge: the inheritance will be awarded to whoever can successfully identify the origin and vintage of thirteen specific wines. Twelve of these are designated as the "Twelve Apostles," while the thirteenth, surpassing them all in prestige, is known as "The Drops of God." Two rivals emerge to claim this legendary prize. Shizuku, Yutaka’s biological son, possesses a world-class education in wine yet harbors deep resentment toward his father, having refused to ever taste a single drop. Standing against him is Issei Tomine, a young and charismatic wine critic whom Yutaka recently adopted as his own son. As these two men enter a high-stakes contest defined by refined palates and complex emotions, their rivalry transcends mere competition. Their struggle forces them to confront profound questions about the true nature of wine, the intricate bonds between parent and child, and the very essence of life itself. The elegant and intense battle surrounding the mythical "Drops of God" is about to unfold.
