Shana Ou Yoshitsune

Shana Ou Yoshitsune presents an alternative take on the life of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, one of Japan's most celebrated historical figures, reimagining his story within the setting of the Heian Era. Behind the legend, however, lies a startling truth: the Yoshitsune renowned to history was, in reality, a frail and sickly boy, far too weak to embody the heroic figure his name would come to represent. Everything changes when young Yoshitsune crosses paths with Hyouta, a wandering orphan who scrapes out a living on the streets and who bears an uncanny, identical resemblance to him. Hyouta's sturdy physique stands in stark contrast to the frail boy before him—and it is precisely this strength that leads him down an extraordinary path. Stepping into another's shoes, Hyouta gradually assumes the identity of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, ultimately claiming the name entirely as his own. Accompanied by devoted servants, including the renowned Benkei, the former street urchin must now live out the destiny that history has written for him.
