Kubi wo Kiraneba Wakarumai

It is the fourth year of the Meiji era, and Japan is stepping boldly into a new age. Yukinosuke, the son of a family of the highest aristocratic standing, enjoys every privilege his station affords—yet beneath his refined exterior lies a secret that gnaws at him day and night: not once in his life has he ever experienced an erection. Tormented by this affliction, he drifts through his troubled days, carefully hiding the worry from everyone around him. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Sayo, the head of an executioner family whose grim lineage has been passed down since the Edo period. The moment Yukinosuke witnesses her carry out a beheading before his eyes, something pitch black begins to well up from deep within him—an awakening unlike anything he has ever known. From that budding desire, a romance takes root between the sheltered nobleman and the woman who wields the blade—a love story steeped in lust, blood, and primal instinct, born amid the shifting tides of a new era.
