Kimi wa Maid-sama

When a young woman in a maid uniform appears at Hitoyoshi's doorstep seeking employment, he expects the typical domestic hire. Instead, he is met with a baffling application: her previous profession was assassin, granting her flawless expertise in every deadly art, yet rendering her utterly helpless at basic household chores. Confused by the sheer absurdity of the request, Hitoyoshi turns her away, unable to see how such skills could translate to a peaceful home. His dismissal proves premature when she intervenes to save him from a lethal accident, forcing him to reconsider. Perhaps her talents, however unconventional, could find a purpose here—if both are willing to navigate the daily chaos of her domestic education. But for the maid, the stakes run far deeper than learning to dust or brew tea. Having spent her life as a cold-blooded tool in the underworld, she has never known warmth, companionship, or the simple rhythms of ordinary existence. Through burnt meals and clumsy attempts at chores, she begins to unravel emotions long suppressed, gradually trading her solitary existence for the messy, tender reality of family life. What unfolds is an unexpectedly heartwarming journey—the beginning of a new daily life where even a former killer can learn what it means to belong.
