The Rotten

A viral apocalypse has reshaped the world into a nightmare, reducing the majority of humanity to shambling, grotesque horrors known only as the Rotten. In the suffocating ruins of civilization, Seonho struggles to keep a small band of survivors alive, his primary concern being the protection of Haesoo, a gentle and timid soul who endures constant bullying from their own group for his perceived weakness. Despite the daily grind of scavenging and evading the infected, Seonho's resolve remains fixed on shielding Haesoo from both the monsters outside and the cruelty within. Hope flickers when their path crosses with another survivor enclave boasting a wealth of supplies. But the initial relief curdles into dread as Seonho's group discovers that their new allies are not saviors but savages, ruled by a brutality that rivals the Rotten themselves. At the heart of this depravity is Won, a chillingly charismatic leader whose dangerous fascination fastens onto Seonho with unsettling intensity. Trapped between the ravenous infected and a human threat far more calculating, Seonho sees only one desperate path forward: strike a deal with Won to ensure Haesoo's safety. Yet in a world where trust is a currency long devalued, the bargain may cost them far more than they ever imagined—and survival is anything but guaranteed.
