Childhood companions who navigated every milestone side by side, Sang-Hun and Seo-Yun saw their deep-seated bond seamlessly evolve into romance upon graduation. For Seo-Yun, this new chapter was the fulfillment of a long-held dream—a chance to bridge any remaining distance and bask in the intimacy she had always craved. Yet, much to her growing dismay, the closeness she anticipates remains stubbornly out of reach. Sang-Hun, her partner in every other aspect of life, has erected an invisible barrier where physical affection is concerned, recoiling from her touch and sidestepping every opportunity for deeper connection. The sting of his inexplicable withdrawal leaves Seo-Yun grappling with self-doubt and quiet heartache. She watches him withdraw further, his bottled-up turmoil simmering just beneath a carefully composed surface, until the pressure becomes too immense to contain. When Sang-Hun finally musters the courage to confess the secret he has guarded even from her—the true reason behind his evasive behavior—he braces for outrage or rejection. Instead, Seo-Yun's response veers into puzzling territory. Her eyes hold not shock, but something far more unnerving: a flicker of recognition, or perhaps even knowing anticipation, that suggests she is not as blindsided as she pretends to be, and that the truth may entangle them both in ways neither expected.
