Retiring from a Wife’s Role

Honami Ayukawa once lived under the relentless glare of the spotlight as a celebrated child star, but she chose to leave it all behind for a quiet, fulfilled life as a wife and mother. She found joy in the rhythms of domesticity, raising her young daughter and building a home far from the demands of the entertainment world. That hard-won peace shatters when her daughter, following in her mother’s footsteps with a fledgling acting career, suffers a serious injury on set—an accident that Honami soon discovers is anything but. As she digs beneath the surface of the incident, Honami unearths a devastating betrayal: her husband’s infidelity, intertwined with a shadowy web of industry machinations that reach back into her own past. The clues point to a cover-up driven by powerful figures who see her daughter’s harm as merely collateral damage. Roused from her retirement by a cold, unshakable fury, Honami makes a calculated decision—she will reclaim her place before the camera, not for fame or fortune, but as a weapon. With every performance, every public appearance, she methodically closes in on those who conspired against her family, transforming her return to stardom into a meticulous campaign of revenge that threatens to expose the entertainment industry’s darkest secrets and bring its most protected players to their knees.
