The Thirteen Trials of the Blarney Mage

Ninety percent of campus life is a romantic comedy—the remaining ten percent is a heroic legend. The thirteen trials include: brazenly impersonating a sage's descendant, forcing an evil organization to swallow their pride and eat their words, revealing divine power in broad daylight, single-handedly out-drinking the entire school, and stealing the magical world's equivalent of a national heirloom. The list goes on, culminating in the twelfth task—shooting down the mad doomsday sun—and the thirteenth: confessing to the girls who are utterly, hopelessly smitten with you. As protagonist Lu Wenjun points out, twelve of these so-called "new-era trials" are nothing but sheer foolishness. But as his peers counter, isn't the thirteenth genuinely dangerous? And so begins the uproarious comedy of a deception-based magic academy, where lies, absurd stunts, and romance intertwine in the most unexpected ways.
