My Home Hero

An ordinary father, Tetsuo Tosu, spends his days fretting over work and coping with his headstrong daughter, Reika. Then he notices a bruise on her face, and his quiet life shatters. His deepest dread materializes when he discovers that Reika has been seeing a boyfriend in secret—one who belongs to a criminal syndicate and is manipulating her to siphon off her grandparents' fortune. Matters take a lethal turn when the thug catches Tetsuo prying and vows to kill Reika the moment she returns home. Acting on pure paternal instinct, Tetsuo kills the man on the spot—only for his wife to walk through the door and see the aftermath. Now saddled with a corpse that must vanish and a ruthless gang closing in, Tetsuo has no choice but to rely on his encyclopedic knowledge of detective fiction and his own cunning to outmaneuver a terrible fate.
