The Death Mage

A sudden tragedy claims the lives of Hiroto Amamiya and his entire class in one devastating moment. Yet for these students, death is not the end. A god appears before them with an extraordinary offer: each of them will be granted special protection and skills before being reincarnated into a new world—a chance at a fresh life far removed from the one they lost. While his classmates receive the divine blessings they were promised, however, fate takes a cruel turn for Hiroto. The god makes a mistake. When the moment of rebirth arrives, Hiroto is cast into his new existence with nothing at all—no protection, no skills, no divine favor to shield him from the dangers that lie ahead. Left empty-handed in an unfamiliar world while everyone he once knew starts anew with every advantage in hand, Hiroto faces a second life that must be built from the ground up. Stripped of every promised gift, he begins his journey at the very bottom—with only his own determination to carry him forward.
