Futsutsukana Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga ~Suuguu Chou So Torikae Den~

In a kingdom steeped in the grandeur and political machinations of historical China, the imperial court is a gilded cage where five powerful clans vie for supremacy. Their battleground is the selection of the next empress, and at the heart of this contest is Kou Reirin, the frail and ethereal beauty known as the "butterfly of the court." As the undisputed favorite to wed the crown prince, her path to the throne seems all but assured, a delicate flower destined to bloom at the peak of power. However, the court's delicate balance is shattered during the resplendent Lantern Festival, a night of dazzling lights and whispered ambitions. In a violent confrontation, the embittered Shu Keigetsu, derisively called the "court rat," attacks Reirin. When Reirin awakens, she finds herself not in her lavish chambers, but in the cold, squalid darkness of the dungeons. She has been the victim of a body-swap, a sinister plot to steal her identity and her coveted position at court. To the outside world, her situation appears hopeless. Yet, for Reirin, this twist of fate is an unexpected liberation. Trapped in a robust, healthy body far removed from her own sickly form, the looming threat of execution and the loss of her title no longer hold the same terror. Armed with newfound strength and a sharpened will to survive, Reirin is no longer a passive piece on the political chessboard. She is ready to turn the tables on her usurper and rewrite her own destiny from the shadows.
