Groping in the Dark

A routine walk down the city streets takes a bewildering turn for Yu when he spots a figure clad in nothing but a fur coat, stumbling through the night. Acting on impulse, convinced the man is about to be arrested, Yu seizes the stranger and drags him into a desperate sprint. But his well-intentioned intervention shatters in an instant when he discovers that the man he just manhandled is no random vagrant—he is property of the local yakuza, and touching him is a transgression that carries immediate, brutal consequences. Before Yu can process the enormity of his mistake, he finds himself violently thrust into the heart of underworld territory, a dangerous landscape where power shifts with every whispered word and unspoken rule. There, he encounters the volatile Makoto, a hot-headed enforcer who revels in displays of dominance, and his sharp-witted half-brother Ai, who serves as the clan’s calculating first-man, quietly cleaning up the chaos left in Makoto's wake. As Yu is drawn deeper into their volatile dynamic, the tangled web of loyalty, rivalry, and buried family history begins to unravel around him. What started as a moment of reckless compassion quickly reveals itself as a detonation point in a far larger conflict. Yu has stepped on a landmine, and as the simmering tensions between the yakuza factions surface, he must confront the terrifying question: just how far will the blast reach, and who will be left standing when the dust settles?
